Historic Tybee Island lighthouse gets new paint job

The Georgia Historical Records Advisory Board (GHRAB) has ten different award categories, so someone you know or a program you know about is sure to fit. 10th Annual Pacific Northwest Preservation School
This is a Hands-on preservation school held at the Harriman State Park in Idaho. There are five one-week sessions starting in August and continuing through September. Space is limited. Society of Georgia Archivists announces Edward Weldon Scholarship
The Society of Georgia Archivists announces the upcoming Edward Weldon Scholarship that will provide the registration fee for an SGA member to attend the Society of American Archivists (SAA) annual meeting. Individuals eligible to compete for the scholarship must be members of the Society of Georgia Archivists (as of February 1 of the current year) and residents of the State of Georgia. Preference will be given to applicants who do not have access to institutional support for attending the Society of American Archivists' annual meeting. The application deadline is April 30,

The Savannah College of Art and Design is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time position as Chair of the Historic Preservation Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration duties within the department as well as the development and implementation of curriculum and academic standards at both the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, the department chair teaches various courses related to Preservation Technology, Building Assessment Strategies, Preservation Construction and Preservation Law and Economics in addition to general courses in Historic Preservation. The candidate must have a Master's Degree in Historic Preservation with demonstrated professional experience. Prior teaching or administrative experience is desirable. Atlanta office of Terracon has an immediate opening for a professional who meets the Secretary of the Interior's Standards in architectural history and/or historic preservation. MS/MA/MHP in historic preservation or architectural history required. Three to five years experience in similar position preferred but will provide training to qualified candidates.
