LOCAL FOCUS: THE ATLANTA HISTORY CENTER
Within the Atlanta History Center's (AHC) current exhibition "Remembering Orly," are architectural drawings and sketches by Thomas G. Little. After graduating from Georgia Tech in 1935, he eventually became restoration architect for the Georgia Historical Commission (HPD's predecessor). The exhibition runs through September 2, 2002. NPS'S NEW ONLINE TUTORIAL ON THE SECRETARY'S STANDARDS
The Heritage Preservation Services office of the National Park Service (NPS) has created an online tutorial on the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation called Electronic
Rehab at www2.cr.nps.gov/e-rehab/. The program is designed for historic building owners, new members of design review and historic preservation commissions, architects, contractors, developers, maintenance personnel, and students. In addition to introducing the Standards, the site has a test where you make critical decisions about the appropriateness of rehabilitation work on two buildings and get immediate feedback.

POSITION AVAILABLE - DNR PARKS & HISTORIC SITES DIVISION DIRECTOR
Job Description: Under the supervision of the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources, directs the operations of the Parks, Recreation, and Historic Sites Division. Provides leadership and policy directives for this Division. Guides the Division through the strategic planning process to assure that all objectives are accomplished. Must stay personally involved with high priority projects and issues to assure properly handled and effective. Shall communicate clearly at an appropriate level of detail with the Commissioner, the Board of Natural Resources, the Legislature, Division Directors and appropriate associates within the Division.
