JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: PROGRAM COORDINATOR - NTHP'S AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORIC PLACES INITIATIVE
The National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP) is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented, reliable self-starter to serve as program coordinator for a two-year initiative focused on enhancing the preservation and scholarship of African American historic places nationwide. Responsibilities include facilitating a partnership between universities and African American historic places; conducting an inventory and assessment of their needs; planning a conference; working with a committee; and drafting a "State of Affairs" paper and strategic plan. Closing date: open until filled.

HERITAGE MATTERS CALL FOR ARTICLES
Heritage Matters is a National Park Service program newsletter that covers the "news of the nation's diverse cultural heritage." It contains short news items on diverse communities and diverse cultural heritage. Issued twice a year, the newsletter is distributed free of charge to over a thousand diverse organizations, minority colleges and universities, preservation organizations at all levels of government, and interested persons. The newsletter offers an opportunity for students to contribute articles on their work and academic studies and for organizations to publicize their work.
