GEORGIA HERITAGE GRANT PROGRAM OFFERS GRANT-WRITING WORKSHOP
The Historic Preservation Division (HPD) of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources is offering a free grant-writing workshop for this year's Georgia Heritage grant applicants, Tuesday, June 4, 2002 from 10:00am-2:00pm in Atlanta. (This will not be a general grantwriting workshop.) Please contact Cherie Bennett, Grants Coordinator, at 404-651-5181 or email at cherie_bennett@mail.dnr.state.ga.us to register. Space is limited to 35, so act now!

PACIFIC NORTHWEST PRESERVATION FIELD SCHOOL
The University of Oregon's historic preservation department is accepting applications for their summer 2002 field schools. One week sessions beginning August 11 September 14 will take place on Whidbey Island, Washington. Applications sent before May 15, 2002 will be given preference. 2002 GEORGIA HISTORICAL RECORDS GRANTS ANNOUNCEMENT
The Georgia Historical Records Advisory Board has announced that it will omit the January 2003 grant cycle of the Historical Records Grant Program due to the continuing uncertainty of the budget and the upcoming move of the State Archives to Clayton County. However, qualified applicants are encouraged to submit proposed projects during the July 2002 cycle.
