PRESERVATION 101: A GEORGIA ORIENTATION - UPDATE
Are you new to the historic preservation field in Georgia? Are you confused about which services are provided by the state historic preservation office (Historic Preservation Division) and the state nonprofit preservation organization (The Georgia Trust)? Attend a free seminar presented by HPD and The Georgia Trust on Wednesday, October 3, 2001 from 9:00am 4:00pm in the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) Board Room, 201 Pryor St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. 2002 NATIONAL COMMISSION FORUM
The third biennial National Commission Forum is scheduled for August 1 - 4, 2002 in San Antonio, Texas. The Forum will feature innovative and interactive panel presentations that will be followed by facilitated discussions to produce a set of findings that will be shared with all participants in a series of plenary sessions. Along with the focus groups, the Forum will offer sessions for CLGs, new commissioners, commission chairs, tours, and of course, social events! MATERIAL CULTURE AND MIGRATION IN THE SAVANNAH BASIN LECTURE OFFERED

RINGGOLD DEPOT RECEIVES TE FUNDS
Built before the Civil War for the Western and Atlantic Railroad, the Ringgold depot will receive $180,000 in TE (transportation enhancement) funds to develop a master plan for restoration. Congratulations Ringgold!
