"WHITE ELEPHANTS"
Bill Hover, HPD's architectural reviewer, recently participated in a "White Elephant" Resource Team project in South Georgia. Sponsored by the Department of Community Affairs and the Georgia Quality Growth Partnership, team members provided technical assistance and advice for commercial historic buildings that are rehabilitation challenges due to their size, location, condition or limited potential for adaptive use. The team visited nine properties in Adel,
Hahira, Valdosta and Waycross. To learn more about the Georgia Quality Growth Partnership, please visit their Web site at www.georgiaqualitygrowth.com/index.html.
