GEORGIA CITIES FOUNDATION REVOLVING LOAN FUND PROGRAM
The Georgia Cities Foundation was established by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) in 1999. The goal of the Foundation is to promote economically sustainable projects and build partnerships in order to help ensure the long-term health and economic vitality of Georgia's downtown areas. This will be accomplished through the infusion of capital via a revolving loan application. The Foundation welcomes applications from cities in Georgia, in conjunction with their downtown development authority (DDA), who are requesting financial assistance in their efforts to revitalize and enhance their downtown areas. Through public and private partnerships, the Foundation will assist in facilitating the redevelopment and reuse of downtown areas throughout Georgia. Applications may be submitted anytime. Visit GMA's Web site at www.gmanet.com/gcf/ for more information.

URGENT UPDATE REGARDING TAX INCENTIVES PROGRAM MAIL
The National Park Service (NPS) recently notified the Historic Preservation Division (HPD) that due to the anthrax problem, the main post office in Washington, D.C. has been closed indefinitely. Although NPS is able to send out mail, it has not received any mail since approximately mid-October. There has been no word yet as to when the processing of incoming mail will resume. HPD is continuing to review tax incentives projects and forward them to NPS as usual so that they will be received as soon as mail delivery starts again. Please keep in mind that there will be a backlog of projects as a result of this situation. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
If you have questions regarding the status of your federal tax credit project, you may access NPS's online tax incentives site at http://tps.cr.nps.gov/status. For the user name type: shponps. For the password type: status. This site contains all the tax incentives projects that have been received and logged-in by NPS. If you have further questions, please e-mail Dahlia Dandrige at Dahlia_Dandrige@nps.gov or Tonya Lane at Tonya_Lane@nps.gov.
