SCENIC AMERICA DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS POSITION AVAILABLE
Scenic America is a national nonprofit conservation organization whose mission is to protect natural beauty and distinctive community character. Working with citizen activists from across the nation, other like-minded organizations, members of Congress, government agency representatives, and local and state political leaders, Scenic America seeks to promote transportation and land use planning which preserve America the Beautiful.
The Director of Programs will direct, manage, and develop Scenic America's national and field programs on visual quality issues, including scenic byways, context-sensitive highway design, community character, sign control, and tools for scenic conservation. Scenic America also offers many opportunities for the Director to work very closely with colleagues on public relations, policy, development, and building our national network of state affiliates.
