ALLIANCE CONFERENCE IN AUGUSTA The 3rd Annual SE African American Preservation Alliance conference, "African American Places: A Legacy to Maintain," will take place in Augusta, March 9-11. The agenda includes a workshop on the preservation of African American

DCA LOCAL DEVELOPMENT FUND
The application deadline for the Department of Community Affair's (DCA) Local Development Fund is April 3. Funds available are $10,000 for a single community and $20,000 for joint applications. A 50 percent local match is required. THE GEORGIA TRUST AWARDS NEW J. NEEL REID PRIZE
The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation is now accepting applications from eligible architects and architecture students for the J. Neel Reid Prize, a $5,000 fellowship which will be awarded annually and may be applied to studies of classic architecture anywhere in the world. Priority will be given to those applicants residing, studying or working in Georgia. The application deadline is March 2, 2001. Applications for and information about the J.
