Weekly Report April 22-28, 2012
This report is a broad sampling of events that have taken place in the past week, but does not include all actions taken by the Law Enforcement Section.

Region I- Calhoun (Northwest)
PAULDING COUNTY On April 17th RFC Chad Cox and Tech. Daniel Grey located 11 bags of household trash dumped on Paulding Forest WMA off Goldmine Road. They were able to locate a name and address in the trash and went to the address to locate the person who had dumped the trash. The subject at the address where the trash came from stated he had received a ticket from the Paulding County Marshal for dumping the trash the day before. On April 18th RFC Cox spoke with the Marshal about the case and it became apparent that there were two different sites that he had dumped trash at. RFC Cox returned to speak to the subject and issued him a citation for illegal dumping. The Paulding County Marshal arrested the subject at the same time for not picking up the trash.
GILMER COUNTY On April 7th, Sgt. John VanLandingham investigated a suspicious vehicle parked along Talona Creek. He observed three subjects walking on the other side of the creek. When they saw Sgt. VanLandingham one of the subjects stopped and put something down behind a big tree. Sgt. VanLandingham made contact with the three subjects as they crossed the creek and asked the one what he had put down. The person stated that they hadn't put anything down. Sgt. VanLandingham obtained all three subjects personal information and released them. He went back to the area and located a plastic bag containing marijuana and a glass-smoking pipe. Arrest warrants were obtained on the one suspect for possession of marijuana, less than one ounce, and possession of drug related objects.
On April 15th, DNR Rangers responded to a turkey hunter who had been shot and received minor injuries. The victim received two shotgun pellets to his cheek and one pellet to his chest. According to the victims statements he was hunting alone and did not know who the shooter was. While interviewing a potential witness the officers were able to determine that the witness had in fact been the shooter in the incident. The shooter and victim were members of the same hunting club and had devised a false story to attempt to cover up who the shooter was. Both the shooter and the victim have confessed to falsifying their original statements. Charges are pending on both.
WHITFIELD COUNTY On April 21st Cpl. Casey Jones and Cpl. James Keener issued four citations and three warnings for fishing violation while checking fishermen along the Conasauga River.
DADE COUNTY On April 17th, Cpl Tommy Gentry concluded an investigation in Dade Co by securing warrants on a turkey hunter who shot a turkey on lands of another without permission. The incident occurred on Easter Sunday. Charges were hunting without permission, hunting without a license and without big game license and possession of illegal wildlife. The suspect turned himself in to the jail.

FLOYD COUNTY On April 21st, RFC Ben Cunningham and Cpl. Tommy Gentry responded to a stranded vessel call on the Coosa River in Floyd Co. After a short search they located the family of four in a small bass boat. They had run out of gas. RFC Cunningham and Cpl. Gentry towed the vessel back to Brushy Branch Boat Ramp. FANNIN COUNTY On April 19th RFC Cody Jones and RFC Kevin Dyer obtained arrest warrants on a suspect who had killed a black bear. The investigation was started by Sgt. John VanLandingham in Fannin County on April 11th with an anonymous complaint and a photo of the suspect with a large black bear. After a week it was determined that the suspect actually had killed the bear in Union County. The bear was shot at a residence at around 1:00am while eating garbage that had been left outside. The suspect transported the bear carcass to Fannin County and dumped it off the side of a road. The suspect was charged with taking a black bear out of season, and possession of illegally taken wildlife.
BARTOW COUNTY On April 24th Sgt. Mike Barr, Cpl. Byron Young, and Ranger Zack Hardy were patrolling Lake Allatoona during a weekly bass tournament. While approaching Bethany Bridge after dark, Cpl. Young noticed a ski boat without proper navigational lights. The Rangers stopped the vessel and Cpl. Young spoke with the male operator. He immediately smelled a strong odor of alcohol and the man admitted to drinking several beers. Cpl. Young checked the operator and found that he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and charged with boating under the influence of alcohol.

COBB COUNTY On April 28th, Region I Law Enforcement held a hunter education training and recognition session for the volunteer instructors who teach hunter safety. The event was held at Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna. The instructors shot archery, participated in a training session, and recognized the 2012 State Hunter Education Instructor of the Year, Brad Bates. Brad was presented a CVA muzzleloader in recognition of his outstanding achievements. WALKER COUNTY On Friday 04/27/2012 Rfc Roger McConkey, W/L Tech Josh Aldridge and Cpl. Tommy Gentry patrol both John's Mtn WMA and Pigeon Mtn WMA. They checked several fishermen on John's Mtn and several campers on Pigeon Mtn WMA. Verbal guidance was given to ten individuals who had not purchased the Ga Outdoor Recreation Pass (GORP). No other violations were found.

Region II- Gainesville (Northeast)
GWINNETT COUNTY During this week CIRT Team members Sgt. Steve Seitz and RFC Anne Alexander along with rangers from Sgt. Lee Brown and Sgt. Mike Burgamy work units have continued to work on the fatality boating incident that occurred in April 21st.
On April 28th, Cpl. Eddie Tompkins and Cpl. Eric Sanders conducted an on-site HIN inspection at Bass Pro Shop in Lawrenceville. During this inspection a total of 30 boats were inspected.
RABUN COUNTY On Saturday April 28th, while Corporal Derek Dillard was patrolling Lake Burton in the area of Wildcat Creek Cove, he observed a boat causing wake in the no wake zone. When Corporal Dillard stopped the boat he saw that the operator had been drinking alcohol. Corporal Dillard asked the operator to perform some field sobriety exercises which he failed. The subject was arrested and charged with operating a vessel under the influence and failure to obey regulatory marker.
MADISON COUNTY On April 28th, RFC Shane Sartor assisted with a Kids Fishing Event for special needs children at a pond in Madison County. This was the 8th year the event had been held. Participants caught bream and catfish and were all given a t-shirt. Lunch was also provided. This year twelve children participated.
HALL COUNTY On Saturday, April 28th, Cpl. Jason Roberson arrested a subject for operating a vessel under the influence on Lake Lanier.
On Saturday, April 28th, Cpl. Jason Roberson investigated a one boat accident on Lake Lanier in which a 22 foot Cobalt ran aground near Keith's Bridge Park. The vessel ramped over the island and flipped when it reentered the water. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected and the passenger sustained minor injuries to his head.
On Sunday, April 29th, Cpl. Roberson investigated a boat accident on Lake Lanier. The victim ran aground and capsized his boat. All three occupants were ejected and sustained minor injuries. The accident occurred on Saturday night at approximately 9:15 p.m. The call came in at 5:15 A.M. on Sunday morning. The subjects were located and had sustained no injuries.

Region III- Thomson (East Central)
GREENE COUNTY On Saturday April 28th, Cpl. David Allen and RFC Richard Tanner participated in the Del Webb Community Day. The Rangers talked with members of the Del Webb community on boating safety, answered hunting and fishing questions, and also answered questions concerning gun laws in Georgia.
NEWTON COUNTY On Saturday April 22nd, RFC Freddie Hayes checked fishing license at Snapping Shoals Creek and the South River. He encountered one non-resident fishing without a fishing license. The non-resident could not show any current identification. Subject was arrested and transported to Newton County Sheriff's Office.
On Saturday April 22nd, RFC Freddie Hayes issued a citation to a subject located at the Yellow River near Porterdale Park for fishing without a license.
On Saturday April 22nd, RFC Freddie Hayes checked boating activity on Lake Varner, verbal guidance was given to several boater's for minor infractions.
COLUMBIA COUNTY On April 28th, Cpl. Brian Hobbins and RFC Robert Timmerman worked a marine event at Riverside Park. The Event had 500 vessels participating.
On April 28th, Cpl. Ryan Swain worked Kicks 99 Bass Tourney at Wildwood Park. The event lasted from 8-3:30 and had 260 vessels entered to participate.
WILKES COUNTY On Wednesday April 25th, Sgt. Brian Carter and RFC Mark Patterson assisted with a controlled burn on Clarks Hill WMA. They burned approximately 100 acres.
ELBERT COUNTY On Saturday April 28th, Cpl. Julian Wilkins and RFC Phillip Nelson patrolled Lake Russell Beaverdam Creek area. They encountered a nine year old riding in a moving vessel not wearing a personal flotation device.
BURKE COUNTY On April 19th, Wildlife Technician Steve Kyles and RFC Jeff Billips provided a large wildlife display complete with a live alligator for the Earth Day Event in Waynesboro. The display included examples of native wildlife species of Georgia from Officer Kyles personal collection.
On April 25-27th, RFC Jeff Billips presented his annual Boating and ATV Safety Program for all third grade students in Burke County at the University of Georgia Extension Service's "Ag in the Classroom". This year 4-H student Jennifer McDaniel

assisted Ranger Billips with the presentations. Over 450 students participated in this program.
Region IV- Macon (West Central)
BALDWIN COUNTY On 022812, RFC Alan Mills and Sgt Bo Kelly conducted boat patrol on Lake Sinclair. Several boats were stopped for minor infractions and handled accordingly. One operator was stopped for travelling full speed through a "no wake zone". This operator gave a false date of birth to rangers and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. The operator was arrested and charged with operating vessel under the influence of alcohol, possession of alcohol by a minor, failure to obey regulatory marker and giving false information to an officer. The operator was transported to the Baldwin County jail for processing/booking.
HARRIS COUNTY On April 28th Sgt. Jim Bradfield checked a property in Pine Mountain for turkey hunting activity. Numerous wildlife feeders had been located on this property on a previous date. Two turkey hunters were located when returning to their vehicle. These hunters had not been in the areas where the feeders were found and both hunters were properly licensed.
HENRY COUNTY On April 27th, RFC Travis Sweat and Deputy Ranger Joe Sebo were patrolling Upper Towaliga Reservoir on a fishing w/o permission complaint. The two rangers located a subject on the upper end of the lake. Once the subject saw the Rangers he began throwing his fishing gear in the woods and then started to run back to a house up the hill from the lake. RFC Sweat hit the bank on plane with his vessel and sprung off the front of his vessel in pursuit of the fleeing subject. He was able to apprehend the subject at the garage of the house. Citations were issued for fishing w/o permission.
On April 27th, RFC Sweat and Ranger Sebo received a call from the Henry County police department. They requested assistance with some ATV's that were trespassing on County property on the other side Lake Towaliga. Rangers Sweat and Sebo were able to make it to the location by land. They approached the subject just out of sight. They observed the ATV riders, ride in the waters of the lake. When the time presented itself, the two rangers emerged out from cover, and apprehended eight individuals from seven ATV's. Once all the basic information had been obtained by RFC Sweat, he then sent the subjects out to the paved road to meet the Henry County police officer for them to pursue charges.
TROUP COUNTY On April 24th, Cpt. Bob Lynn, Sgt. Jim Bradfield, Cpl. Jeremy Bolen, and Ranger Russell Epps worked a boating safety patrol on West Point Lake. This patrol was in response to numerous complaints on bass fishermen going too fast through the "No Wake" zones on the lake. A total of 5 citations and 1 written warning were issued for various violations such as fishing without a license, operating vessel without lights during hours of darkness, and operating a vessel with insufficient PFD's.

UPSON COUNTY On April 25th, while on routine patrol of Big Lazer WMA, Cpl. Susan Morris and RFC Keith Page checked the Po Biddy Bridge at the Flint River. The rangers were on one side of the river and observed a female cleaning out her truck, throwing litter on the ground, on the other side of the river. She was talking on a cell phone and moving around in an agitated manner. When the rangers confronted her, she became very upset and told them she was bi-polar. She admitted to ranger Morris, she had her father's prescription of Hydrocodone, which she was taking. When searched, a crack rock of cocaine was found in her pocket. Several crack pipes were found on the front seat of her truck. She was arrested and taken to the Upson Co. jail.
Region V- Albany (Southwest)
GRADY COUNTY On April 26th, Sgt. Rick Sellars presented educational programs at Eastside Elementary School in Cairo, where he discussed the life history of the American Alligator with the students.
DECATUR COUNTY On April 26th and 27th, RFC Tony Cox conducted educational programs at Decatur County Elementary Schools. On April 27th, RFC Tony Cox was on patrol when he observed a subject dumping a large amount of waste from a fish cleaning operation near a landing on the Flint River. The subject, a local fish market owner, was cited for littering.

BAKER COUNTY On April 28th, Corporal Randy Davis conducted a boating safety patrol on the Flint River in Baker County. Several citations were issued for operating vessel without Coast Guard Approved Personal Flotation Devices and fishing without license.
RANDOLPH COUNTY RFC Bob Holley, K-9 Creek, and Sgt. Butch Potter assisted Georgia State Patrol Troopers with a concentrated DUI patrol Thursday night. Three arrests were made for driving under the influence, one possession of marijuana and one for fleeing and attempting to elude. Numerous other traffic violations were also documented.
While on routine patrol on April 28th, RFC Bob Holley encountered a large number of hog hunters on a road in the south part of the county. The hunters were cited for hunting from a public road and hunting without a license.
CHATTAHOOTCHEE COUNTY On Saturday afternoon RFC Holley and Sgt. Butch Potter conducted a boat patrol on Lake Walter F. George. Several boating safety and fishing violations were encountered.
TIFT / WORTH / TURNER COUNTIES On April 23rd, Cpl. Greg Wade and Cpl. Al Greer assisted the U.S. Marshals, Tift County Sheriff's Office and Worth County Sheriff's Office in locating an escaped prisoner. The escapee had been on the run for three days when Worth County deputies located him in a stolen vehicle. After a pursuit of the vehicle, the suspect fled into the woods and was apprehended shortly thereafter. He was serving a 10 year sentence for false imprisonment and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
Region VI- Metter (Southeast)
APPLING COUNTY On the April 23rd, RFC Altman answered a complaint of an injured owl that had been hit by a vehicle. The owl was later taken to a rehabilitator for further care and is expected to make a full recovery.
TATTNALL COUNTY RFC Altman patrolled Big Hammock WMA on the April 27th and 29th for fishing and hunting activity. Violations for operating a vessel without registration and operating a vessel without PFD's were documented.
WARE COUNTY On April 27, 2012, RFC Mark Pool was patrolling local boat landings for boating and fishing activity. At Pebble Hill Landing on the Satilla River, two fishermen were checked resulting in two citations for fishing without licenses and two warnings for possession of illegally taken fish.

On April 28, 2012, RFC Mark Pool was patrolling local boat landings for boating and fishing activity. At the GA Hwy 158 bridge landing on the Satilla River, six licenses were checked resulting in two warnings for fishing without licenses.
On April 29, 2012, RFC Mark Pool was patrolling local boat landings for boating and fishing activity. At the Blackshear landing on the Satilla River six fishermen were checked with no violations found.
ECHOLS COUNTY On April 28th, at 1:30 AM, Sgt. Patrick Dupree received a call from an Echols Sheriff's deputy that had encountered two individuals hunting deer at night on Bethel Church Road. When Sgt. Dupree arrived at the scene he discovered one adult male and one juvenile male in possession of a wounded doe deer. The adult man had shot the deer from the highway and then went home and put his rifle away. He then asked a local juvenile to assist him with returning to the scene and retrieving the deer. The Echols' deputy was able to apprehend the two individuals while they were in the process of dragging the injured deer to their pickup. The adult male was charged with hunting deer at night, hunting from a vehicle, hunting big game from a public road and possession of illegally taken wildlife. The rifle and flashlight used in the poaching incident were seized as evidence. The juvenile was not charged but was released to the custody of both his parents after they were called them to the scene. The wounded deer was dispatched and confiscated.
WHEELER COUNTY On Friday, April 20th 2012, RFC Rodney Horne was patrolling Highway 280 Boat Landing on the Oconee River checking for litter, fishing, and boating safety violations. While at the landing RFC Rodney Horne encountered a group of fisherman in which one arrest was made for operating an ATV with an open container and DUI at the boat landing. On Friday, April 20th, 2012, RFC Rodney Horne was patrolling Clarks Bluff Boat Landing on the Oconee River checking for litter, fishing, and boating safety violations.

While at the landing RFC Rodney Horne encountered a group of college students partying and burning illegal material on the Clarks Bluff Sandbar. RFC Rodney Horne made one arrest for possession of marijuana less than an ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia.
On Saturday, April 21st, 2012, Cpl. Johnny Ashe and RFC Rodney Horne were working a detail at Clarks Bluff Boat Landing on the Oconee River for littering, fishing and boating safety violations. Cpl. Johnny Ashe charged one male subject for possession of marijuana less than an ounce and for fishing without a license. A female was charged for littering on the sandbar.
EFFINGHAM COUNTY Late on April 25th, RFC Brandon Pierce was notified, around 9:00 PM, by Effingham 911 in reference to several missing boaters on the Ogeechee River. Officer Pierce notified Sgt. Don Dasher, Cpl. Dave Sims, and Cpl. Mike Wilcox of the situation. At around 1:15 PM that evening five individuals, including one adult, three fourteen year olds, and a twelve year old launched a paddle boat from Steel Bridge landing in hopes of making a river trip to Dasher's Landing before going to church. This trip is an approximate distance of about twenty river miles. The officers responded to the start point and the proposed destination giving that the river is not fast flowing and is only a couple inches deep in some spots. Communication was limited with the individuals due to low batteries and drowned phones. Officer Pierce and Dasher put their boat in at Dasher's Landing and struggled upstream in locating the individuals. Several times the officers had to manually pull the boat across shallow water. The officers found the subjects several miles upstream from Dasher's Landing with some volunteer rescuers. All five subjects were transported by the officers to the nearest private landing were they were picked up. The officers also assisted the volunteers boat in getting them unhung from a downed tree in the river. All individuals were returned safely home and upon interviewing the adult, it was determined that no life-jackets were on board. A total of one violation of operating a vessel without Coast Guard approved PFD's was documented.
Region VII- Brunswick (Coastal)
BRANTLEY COUNTY On April 21, RFC John Evans, RFC David Brady, and CPL Billy Reed met at a convenient store in Atkinson, GA at 5:00 am to work an illegal turkey hunting complaint. Upon entering the store, RFC Evans noticed two elderly gentleman discussing directions. One of the men approached RFC Evans and told him he thought something was wrong with the other person because he seemed real confused. RFC Evans began talking with the other gentleman and soon realized he was probably suffering from an episode of dementia due to Alzheimer's. The man told him he was looking for his wife that he had dropped off on top of the mountain at the class reunion. RFC Evans went along with the story and acted as if he was trying to help him find the location and his wife. RFC Evans was able to get his information and eventually find that he had been missing since the previous day from Fernandina Beach, FL. Florida had issued a BOLO and a Silver Alert to help with locating the missing man. RFC Evans made contact with the subject's wife

and Fernandina Beach Police transported her to Nahunta to get her husband and the vehicle.
GLYNN COUNTY On April 16, at approximately 7:00 pm, Cpl. Wil Smith received a page to call the United States Coast Guard in Brunswick. Cpl. Smith called and was informed that a vessel with two people on board was stranded in the marsh in the Brunswick River. Cpl. Wil Smith and RFC Craig Smith responded and located the vessel. The operator told the Rangers that the mast line on the sailboat was broken and the wind had pushed them into the marsh. The Rangers loaded the 2 men onto the DNR vessel and towed the victim's boat to a nearby public ramp. The men were returned safely to their family.
On April 21, RFC David Brady and RFC John Evans conducted a JEA patrol on St Simons Sound and McKay River. While conducting their patrol they encountered a stranded vessel in the McKay River. RFC Brady and Evans were able to assist the vessel and four people on board by getting it back to safety at the McKay River Ramp.
BRYAN COUNTY On April 15th, Sgt. James Shelton investigated a complaint of the illegal hunting of feral hogs in the Mill Hill area. He found that the hunter had permission to hunt the property.
On April 21st, RFC Jack Thain and Cpl. Phillip Scott conducted a HIN/boat registration inspection at Hendrix Park, registering three boats.
On the afternoon of April 21st, RFC Jack Thain and Cpl. Phillip Scott conducted an investigation into the killing of four alligators on the Ogeechee River earlier in the week. Four suspects were interviewed and the investigation continues. Charges are pending.
LIBERTY COUNTY On April 19th, RFC Jack Thain and Cpl. Jay Morgan presented a 10-hour Hunter Education class and certified 18 soldiers of the 87th Battalion, 3rd Infantry Div. at the request of their commanding officer.
CHATHAM COUNTY On April 15, Corporal Bill Bryson was on routine patrol in West Chatham County off Little Neck road when he found approximately 52 bags of garbage. While digging through the garbage, Corporal Bryson found the names of two subjects. Corporal Bryson went to the address that was found and talked with the subjects. A citation was issued for unlawful dumping.
On April 16th, Sgt. James Shelton cited a driver at Hwy. 204 and I-95 for littering for dumping trash out of his vehicle.
On April 20, RFC Buster Cooper and Sgt. Cindy Miller were checking offshore recreational fishermen at the Lazaretto Creek boat ramp as a part of the Joint Enforcement Agreement. The Rangers checked a boat that had six black sea bass onboard

already filleted out in an ice bag. The captain of the vessel was cited for landing fish without heads and fins intact. On April 22, RFC Buster Cooper and Sgt. Cindy Miller received a complaint about a golf cart stuck in the marsh. The Rangers responded to the area and observed the golf cart and where it had been stuck in the marsh. The subject was cited for Violation of the Marshland Protection Act. On April 27, Cpl Bill Bryson, Cpl Chris Moore, Cpl Jay Morgan, and Sgt. Cindy Miller boarded shrimp boats to check nets. The Rangers checked the bycatch reduction device (BRD) and turtle excluder (TED) device installed in the nets for compliance. One of the captains was cited for failing to maintain the proper TED angle.
On April 28, Cpl. Bill Bryson and Sgt. Cindy Miller patrolled the salt waters of Chatham County checking recreational fishermen. One individual was cited for possession of undersized fish. On April 28, Cpl. Chris Moore and Sgt. Cindy Miller patrolled the salt waters of Chatham County late into the evening. The Rangers checked recreational fishermen. Two individuals were cited for possession of over the limit of sharks and failure to land fish with heads and fins intake.

On April 28, Cpl. Chris Moore and Sgt. Cindy Miller also checked several recreational boaters. One individual was stopped for not having a stern light. After the stop, Cpl. Moore administered some field sobriety exercises. The individual was cited for operating a vessel under the influence and improper lights. MCINTOSH COUNTY On April 21, 2012, Cpl. Jimmy Finn, Sgt. Chris Hodge and Sgt. Wayne Hubbard responded to an area offshore near Sapelo Sound, where a 41 foot commercial fishing vessel had sank on the night of the 19th. The officers used side scan sonar equipment to locate the wreck so that a U.S. Coast Guard contractor could clean up the approximately 400 gallons of fuel, oil and various other contaminants still on board. On April 22, 2012, RFC Randy Aspinwall, RFC David Brady, Corp. Jimmy Finn, Corp. Bobby White and Sgt. Wayne Hubbard used two department vessels to control boating traffic in the Darien River during the Annual Blessing of the Fleet festival.
LONG COUNTY On Saturday April 28, 2012, The Georgia Department of Public Safety Motor Carrier Compliance Division, and the Long County Sheriff's Office hosted the 1st Annual Fishing for a Cure. This was a non-profit panfish tournament on the Altamaha River and its tributaries to benefit children in the community who are battling cancer or other disease. The Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Section was asked to conduct the official weigh in. DNR officers RFC Randy Aspinwall, Corp. Bobby White, Sgt. Wayne Hubbard and Capt. Doug Lewis participated. Two local children, Taylor McCartney and Victoria Hall, were presented with $5,000.00 each to assist with medical expenses.

MCINTOSH COUNTY On Saturday April 28, officers RFC David Brady, Corp. Bobby White, Sgt. Chris Hodge and Sgt. Wayne Hubbard conducted a shrimp boat boarding detail in McIntosh County. Primary focus of the detail was the inspection of Turtle Excluder Devices (TEDs) due to several turtle mortalities on the Georgia coast so far this year. One warning was issued for a net being in disrepair.
BRYAN COUNTY On April 27th, Cpl. Jay Morgan and Sgt. Cindy Miller conducted a courtesy dockside inspection of a shrimp boat's Turtle Excluder Devices at the boat's dock on Belfast River.
LIBERTY COUNTY On April 25th, Sgt. James Shelton, Cpl. Jay Morgan, and RFC Jack Thain patrolled the Medway River St. Catherine's Sound area. No violations were found.
On April 26th, RFC Thain and Cpl. Morgan presented four Information and Education programs on Georgia wildlife to the 2nd 5th grades at First Presbyterian Christian Academy.
On April 27th, Cpl. Morgan, Cpl. Bill Bryson, RFC Chris Moore, and Sgt. Cindy Miller checked commercial shrimp boats checking for Turtle Excluder Devices violations. One vessel that had not started shrimping yet was found to have a minor violation with their nets. The vessel returned to their dock to correct the problem.
On April 28th, Cpl. Jay Morgan set up a wildlife and boat display at the Family Day event at Savannah Tech's Hinesville campus.
