continent. Yet lakes are our nations under appreciated natural resource.
To draw attention to the value and
importance of lakes and reservoirs, July is
celebrated as Lakes Appreciation Month.
Decatur Named Georgia's First "Bee City" At a June 2016 meeting of the city commission, officials voted to adopt a resolution designating Decatur as a "Bee City." This is the first city in Georgia to earn this designation.
