Call for Proposals: Education for Sustainability Summer Teaching Institute The College of Coastal Georgia will pilot an Education for Sustainability (EfS) Summer Teaching Institute to offer K-12 teachers professional learning opportunities in the fields of coastal ecology, sustainability and environmental education. The college is seeking proposals for day-long sessions based on the various concepts associated with EfS. Proposals are due April 8, 2012.

Announces National Green Ribbon Schools Recognition Four schools were selected to represent Georgia in the National Green Ribbon Schools contest: Arabia Mountain High School (DeKalb County Public Schools), Crabapple Elementary School (Fulton County Public Schools), Savannah Country Day School (Savannah private school), and Springdale Park Elementary School (Atlanta Public Schools).
Green Classroom Professional Certificate Program The Center for Green Schools at the U.S. Green Building Council is offering the Green Classroom Professional Certificate to provide teachers, parents, and professionals with knowledge of green classroom practices for schools.
