National Environmental Education Advisory Council: Call for Nominations
EPA's Office of Environmental Education is requesting nominations for the National Environmental Education Advisory Council, which is comprised of representatives from organizations other than the federal government who provide EPA with advice on environmental education. Nominations are due January 15, 2012.

National Marine Educators Conference: Call for Proposals
The deadline for submission of proposals for the "North to Alaska's Seas: a Confluence of Science and Culture" conference to be held June 24-28, 2012 in Anchorage, Alaska is February 17, 2012.

The annual Environmental Education Alliance (EEA) of Georgia conference will be held at the Southwest Arts Center located in south Fulton County on March 30-31, 2012. Register by March 1, 2012 to receive the earlybird discount.

National Green Ribbon Schools Program - Georgia Update
The Georgia Green Ribbon Schools committee will select up to four schools to be recognized at a ceremony at the State Capitol and also be nominated for national recognition. The application will be available online beginning February 1, 2012 and will be due by March 1, 2012.

Online Courses: Spring 2012 EE - University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point online EE courses have been announced for spring 2012. Courses may be taken for graduate credits, undergraduate credits, or as a zero credit workshop. Several partial scholarships are available. Register by January 13, 2012.

Cornell University's Civic Ecology Lab announces a new online course offered through EECapacity, the EPA-funded national environmental education training program. This 12-week, non-credit, professional development course will cover novel practices and conceptual frameworks for urban environmental education. Apply by January 22, 2012.

Lesley University's master's of science degree in ecological teaching and learning is an 18-month accelerated program designed for educators of all disciplines who want to deepen their understanding of ecology, sustainability, living systems and ecological education and to apply their learning to their professional contexts. Scholarships are available. Applications due March 1, 2012.
