Cornell to Lead National EE Program Every five years, EPA's Office of Environmental Education requests proposals to lead its $10 million national environmental education training program. This year, Cornell's Civic Ecology Lab was selected.
New National Report on Farm to School Efforts At the 2011 School Nutrition Association's national convention, U.S. Department of Agriculture Deputy Secretary Kathleen Merrigan announced the release of a comprehensive report on the current state of farm to school efforts around the country.

Bi-partisan No Child Left Inside Act Reintroduced in Congress
On July 14, 2011, Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and Mark Kirk (R-IL) and Congressman John Sarbanes (D-MD) introduced the bi-partisan No Child Left Inside Act of 2011 into the 112th Congress. As in the past, many of their Congressional colleagues joined them in co-sponsoring this historic legislation.

Southeastern Association for Science Teacher Education Seeking
Conference and Book Chapter Proposals
Proposals for chapters are being accepted for a book about ecojustice, citizen science and youth activism. Proposals are due by January 20, 2012. To have your work considered for a presentation at the Southeastern Association for Science Teacher Education conference, submit by September 25, 2011.
EE Alliance of GA Seeking Conference Proposals
Presentation proposals are now being accepted for the Environmental Education Alliance of Georgia's 2012 conference. The online submission deadline is October 14, 2011.
Southern NSTA Regional Conference Call for Proposals
The Georgia Science Teachers Association is partnering with the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) to host an NSTA area conference November 1-3, 2012 in Atlanta. Proposals for sessions must be submitted by January 15, 2012.
