Free Booklet: A Garden for Every Child This booklet is designed to reconnect children (ages 2-8 years) to nature through a series of lessons, including decomposition, the composting process and importance of good soils. Supplies are limited. Free copies are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Community Gardening Conference Registration Now Open! The 31st annual American Community Gardening Association (ACGA) conference will be held at the Loudermilk Center in the heart of Atlanta, GA from August 5-8, 2010. The "Youth and Adult Education" conference theme includes information on school gardens and partnerships, teacher training, curricula, youth-led presentations, and environmental education/action Early/discounted registration ends June 30, 2010.

Chefs Move to Schools Program As part of her effort to turn policies into practical solutions for America's families, First Lady Michelle Obama is calling on chefs to get involved by adopting a school and working with teachers, parents and school nutrition professionals and administrators to help educate kids about food and nutrition. This initiative ties in well with Farm-toSchool programs.
