Proposed budget cuts at UGA include closure of the State Botanical Garden and five 4-H facilities across the State (Rock Eagle, Burton Tybee, Wahsega, Jekyll and Fortson), all of which provide environmental education programs.

PollinatorLIVE: A Distance Learning Adventure Join us for a series of live interactive web casts, web seminars, and satellite field trips about pollinators, gardening, and conservation. The web site features resources that meet National Science Education Standards for the classroom. PollinatorLIVE is geared toward students in grades 4 8, but there are lesson plans and activities of interest to teachers and students in earlier and later grade levels. Register for National Environmental Education Week, April 11-17, 2010 When you register for EE Week, you will join a national network of educators dedicated to increasing the environmental literacy of K-12 students. You will also receive certificates of participation, free online resources, information on professional development and funding opportunities, and access to discounts on educational materials. Register Now for Summer Online EE Courses Register by May 1 for summer online EE courses through UW-Stevens Point. Fundamentals of Environmental Education runs June 1 - August 20 and Making EE Relevant for Culturally Diverse Audiences runs June 1 August 6. Scholarships are also available for both courses.
