Growing Up WILD Early Childhood EE Guide
The Council for Environmental Education (CEE) has just launched its much anticipated new early childhood guide and training program, for connecting young children to nature called Growing Up WILD. Through a wide range of activities and experiences designed for children ages 3-7, Growing Up WILD: Exploring Nature with Young Children provides an early foundation for developing positive impressions about nature and lifelong social and academic skills.
EETAP Releases Article on EE for Culturally Diverse Groups
Demographic changes and the emergence of a more global society have challenged the field of environmental education (EE) to be more inclusive and to offer programming that is relevant to culturally diverse groups. "Still Developing the Toolbox: Making EE Relevant for Culturally Diverse Groups," by Joanne M. Lozar Glenn profiles five organizations working to connect their programming to the communities they serve.
NAAEE - Call for 2010 Conference Proposals
The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) has issued a call for presentations and workshops for its Annual Conference and Research Symposium, "Environmental Education: Building Connections Bridging Gaps" in Buffalo-Niagra, New York, September 29 - October 2, 2010. The submission deadline for both conference and symposium is February 1, 2010.
National Marine Educators Association - Call for Presentations
"From the Mountains to the Sea" is the theme for the National Marine Educators Association (NMEA) Conference to be held July 19-23, 2008 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Submit a presentation proposal by February 26, 2010.
