By: Senators Abernathy of the 38th, Egan of the 40th, Scott of the 36th and others: A BILL to amend an Act reincorporating the City of Atlanta in the Counties of Fulton and DeKalb, and creating a new charter for said city, as amended, particularly by an ordinance adopted pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Act of 1965, as amended, which ordinance is set forth in Ga. L. 1974, p. 4023 and which incorporated into the charter of the City of Atlanta the Act reorganizing the Board of Education of the City of Atlanta, as amended, which Act, by Section 4.109 thereof, is deemed to be a part of the Act creating a new charter for the City of Atlanta, so as to require all public schools in the Atlanta public school system to implement a uniform dress code for all students; to provide for legislative intent; to provide for a uniform; and for other purposes.
