SB 301 by Senator Dugan of the 30th CITY OF CARROLLTON: Senate Bill 301 authorizes the city of Carrollton to exercise all redevelopment powers in the Constitution and Code.
PURSUANT TO ARTICLE VII, SECTION II, PARAGRAPH IV OF THE STATE CONSTITUTION, THE FOLLOWING LOCAL BILLS RELATING TO HOMESTEAD
EXEMPTIONS REQUIRE A TWO-THIRDS ROLL-CALL VOTE FOR PASSAGE:
SB 292 by HOUSE SUBSTITUTE by Senator Parent of the 42nd CITY OF DECATUR: Senate Bill 292 provides for a homestead exemption from city of Decatur independent school district ad valorem taxes for tax years 2022 and 2023 in the amount of $200,000 for residents who are between the ages of 65 and 69 and whose income does not exceed $53,000. An additional exemption is provided for tax years 2022 and 2023 in the amount of $200,000 for residents who are 70 years or older, regardless of income.
SB 305 by HOUSE SUBSTITUTE by Senator Burke of the 11th EARLY COUNTY: Senate Bill 305 provides a homestead exemption from Early County School District taxes for $150,000 for five years who are 70 years or older. An additional $300,000 exemption is provided for five years for residents who are 80 years or older.

HB 759 by SENATE SUBSTITUTE by Representative Petrea of the 166th TOWN OF THUNDERBOLT: House Bill 759 authorizes the town of Thunderbolt to levy an excise tax.
