HB 760 by Representative Park of the 101st GWINNETT COUNTY: House Bill 760 provides for the compensation of the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners chairperson. The chairperson shall receive a salary equal to 100 percent of the annual salary for the sheriff in a county with the population of Gwinnett County as set by general state law. Each member of the board, other than the chair, shall receive a $45,000 salary. Each member of the board, including the chair, shall receive any cost-of-living increases or general performance increases awarded to state employees or county employees generally.
HB 772 by Representative Park of the 101st GWINNETT COUNTY: House Bill 772 reconstitutes and reestablishes the Gwinnett County Board of Registrations and Elections. The board will be composed of five members, two of whom shall be appointed by the governing authority of the county from nominations made by the county executive committee of the political party whose candidates during the last general election received the largest number of votes in the county for members of the General Assembly. Two members shall be appointed by the governing authority of the county from nominations made by the county executive committee of the political party whose candidates during the last general election received the second largest number of votes in the county for members of the General Assembly. One member shall be appointed by the governing authority of the county without regard to political party nomination or affiliation. The bill will not become effective and will be automatically repealed on July 1, 2021, if a bill to abolish the current board is not approved during the 2021 session.
HB 773 by Representative Park of the 101st GWINNETT COUNTY: House Bill 773 provides for abolition of the Gwinnett County Board of Registrations and Elections on June 30, 2021.
