LOCAL LEGISLATION CALENDAR GEORGIA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

HB 50 by Representative McCall of the 33rd LINCOLN COUNTY: This bill abolishes the office of elected county surveyor of Lincoln County.
HB 51 by Representative Greene of the 151st QUITMAN COUNTY: This bill changes the number of members on the Quitman County Water and Sewerage Authority to five board members.
HB 52 by Representative Greene of the 151st CLAY COUNTY: This bill states the judge of the Clay County Probate Court shall also serve as the magistrate of the Clay County Magistrate Court beginning on January 1, 2021, or upon the vacancy of the office of the magistrate.
HB 54 by Representative Pirkle of the 155th CITY OF FITZGERALD: This bill modifies the city of Fitzgerald's excise tax on lodging to align the tax with both the provisions of general law and the city's resolution relating to the expenditure of funds from the levy of the excise tax.
HB 72 by Representative Burnough of the 77th CLAYTON COUNTY: This bill provides for the salaries of the chairperson and members of the Clayton County Board of Commissioners. The chairperson shall receive an annual salary equal to the then-current base salary and any cost-of-living and longevity increases of the superior court judges of the Clayton Judicial Circuit, plus $15,000. The chairperson shall also receive an annual expense allowance of $5,000, in addition to being entitled to a county automobile while on county business. The other four members of the board shall receive an annual salary of $35,202 each. The commissioners shall also receive an annual expense allowance of $3,000.
