Today on the Floor
Today the House convened for its 1st Legislative Day of the 2017 General Assembly session. Members of the Georgia House of Representatives were sworn in as the first action of the House. Speaker of the House, David Ralston, and Speaker Pro-Tempore, Jan Jones, were both re-elected to their positions.
The House adopted HR 5 to create the 2017-2018 House Rules, and HR 9 as its first Adjournment Resolution. The House also adopted other housekeeping resolutions before adjourning for the day.
