1st Legislative Day
TODAY ON THE FLOOR
Clerk of the House Robert Rivers gaveled the House into session today, to mark the first day of the 2013 legislative session. On the House floor today, Speaker David Ralston and Speaker Pre-Tempore Jan Jones were both re-elected to their positions. Today also marked the swearing in of all members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
The only legislative action taken today on the House floor were several housekeeping measures and the adoption of House Rules.
* The House will reconvene Tuesday, January 15, at 10:00 AM, for its 2nd Legislative Day.
