Legislative Day # 13

Today on the Floor:

Speaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) gaveled the House into session today at 1:00 P.m. The Speaker recognized Rep. Jane Kidd (D-Athens) to introduce the Chaplain of the Day, Pastor Mandy Brady spoke to and then led the House in devotion.
During morning orders, Speaker Richardson recognized Representatives Pat Gardner (D-Atlanta), Earnest "Coach" Williams (D-Stone Mountain), Ed Rynders (RAlbany), and Tom Bordeaux (D-Savannah) to speak at the well.
Speaker Richardson then recognized a group of fifty students that were in attendance in the House Gallery and who were selected by Kathy Coxe, Secretary of Education, to be a part of strengthening the state's public education system. The Speaker then recognized the return of Rep. Gerald Greene (D-Cuthbert) to the House Floor in recognition of his presence on the floor after his recent bout with cancer.
Rep. Gene Maddox (R-Cairo) introduced the Doctor of the Day, Dr. Stephen Floore and his wife, Diane. Dr. Floore is a General Surgeon and practices at Grady General Hospital and Archbold Hospitals in Cairo, GA.
