Legislative Day # 8
Today on the Floor:
Today's session was called to order by Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Dallas) at 10:00am. Rep. Calvin Hill (R-Woodstock) introduced Pastor C.R. Hill as the Chaplain of the Day. Pastor Hill led the House in a Devotion. The Doctor of the Day for the session was Dr. Michael Zoller. Speaker Richardson then adjourned the House so that Committees and Subcommittees could meet for organizational purposes, and the Appropriations committees could hold hearings on the FY 2005 Supplemental Budget and the FY 2006 Budget.
House Bills Passed:
The House took no legislative votes on the floor today. It adjourned so that the standing committees could continue to hold their organizational meetings, and the House Appropriations Subcommittees could continue to hold meetings on the FY 2005 Supplemental Budget and the FY 2006 Budget.
* The House will be back in session on Friday morning, January 28 at 10:00am.

The House Rules Committee met this morning with only one House Bill on the calendar. H.B. 98, the Georgia Land Conservation Council Act, was passed by the committee, and will be placed on the House calendar for Monday, January 31.
