Neal Resolution Acknowledges Law Enforcement Officials
ATLANTA On Thursday, State Representative Jay Neal (R-Lafayette) paid tribute to police chiefs and law enforcement officials through the sponsorship of House Resolution 1190. Neal is the Vice-Chair of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee of the House.
"I appreciate our Law Enforcement Officers for giving so much to their local communities. I consider it a real privilege to be able to honor the Chiefs of Police and Heads of Law Enforcement that are providing such valuable leadership to their departments. Their dedication to protecting the citizens within their jurisdiction is incomparable."
The passage of Neal's privileged resolution appropriately fell on February 16, 2006, which was Police Chiefs and Heads of Law Enforcement Agencies Recognition Day. HR 1190 commends each police chief and law enforcement head in the state for their outstanding service to the people of Georgia. Copies of the Resolution were presented to Police Chief Bryan A. Golden, President of the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, and Frank V. Rotondo, Executive Director of the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police.
"I also commend C. Frank Simons for being recognized by his peers as the 2005 Outstanding Chief of the Year by the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police," Neal stated. "Further, I'd like to recognize my own Police Chief, Dino Richardson, for his impeccable service to the City of Lafayette. Our prayers are with Chief Richardson as he recovers from surgery."
