Speaker Richardson appoints State Representatives Lynn Smith, Ron Stephens, Terry Barnard, Bob Hanner, and Buddy Carter to the House
Coastal Georgia Sound Science Initiative Study Committee AtlantaSpeaker of the House Glenn Richardson (R-Hiram) appointed State Representatives Lynn Smith (R-Newnan), Ron Stephens (RSavannah), Terry Barnard (R-Glennville), Bob Hanner (D-Parrott), and Buddy Carter (R-Pooler) to the House Coastal Georgia Sound Science Initiative Study Committee.

The committee shall undertake a study of the conditions, needs, issues,

challenges, and opportunities relating to support development of a related

final water-management strategy. All field studies of the initiative have

final strategy is due in December, 2005.

The committee was created by the passage of House Resolution 494, authored by Rep. Lynn Smith, who will also be serving as Chair of the study committee. The study committee will end its meeting on December 1, 2005.
