State Representative Donna Sheldon Appointed to George L. Smith II World Congress Center Authority Overview
Committee Atlanta State Representative Donna Sheldon (R-Dacula) was appointed to the George L. Smith II World Congress Center Authority Overview Committee by House Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Dallas). The Authority serves as both owner and operator of the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park and is directly responsible for promoting and servicing regional, national and international events, conventions and trade shows. These events have all proven to economically benefit the state of Georgia.
Representative Sheldon was also recently appointed as the Chief Deputy Whip for the Republican Majority Party in the House. She serves as the Vice Chairman of the Human Relations & Aging Committee and the Secretary of the State Planning & Community Affairs Committee. She is also a Member of the Appropriations and Banks & Banking Committees.
