State Representative Mark Burkhalter Appointed to George L. Smith II World Congress Center Authority Overview
Committee State Representative Mark Burkhalter (R- Duluth) was appointed to the George L. Smith II World Congress Center Authority Overview Committee by House Speaker Glenn Richardson (R-Dallas). The Authority serves as both owner and operator of the Georgia World Congress Center, the Georgia Dome and Centennial Olympic Park and is directly responsible for promoting and servicing regional, national and international events, conventions and trade shows. These events have all proven to economically benefit the state of Georgia.
Burkhalter is presently serving as the Speaker Pro-Tem for the Georgia State House of Representatives. He also holds membership on several House Committees, including Appropriations, Natural Resources & Environment, Public Utilities & Telecommunications and Rules.
