Fludd Announces Grant for Love T. Nolan Elementary School
Atlanta State Representative Virgil Fludd (D-Fayetteville) announces a grant has been awarded to Love T. Nolan Elementary School that is valued at $30,000. The grant is from the Hewlett- Packard Corporation and Rep. Fludd suggested to the company that the school be included within their National Technology for Teaching Grant. As a result of this award, the 5 teachers who submitted the grant proposal will each receive a:
C VP6110 projector C Tablet PC C Tablet PC case C $500 stipend C Help desk services for use of equipment C Professional development opportunity C An opportunity to submit for extension grant
According to Kathy Jackson, Hewlett Packard's Southeast Public Affairs Representative, "We are thrilled that this school has been awarded and look forward to developing local relationships that will allow them to maximize the use of this technology and place them in a position to achieve great success."
"Bringing this technology into the classroom will improve the learning environment for students and make the teachers job easier," said Rep. Fludd. "The teachers who submitted the grant deserve our thanks and I was glad help them with their efforts."
