Fludd Host Pastor of the Day at State Capitol
Atlanta State Representative Virgil Fludd (D-Fayetteville) host "Pastor of the Day" on March 12, 2004. On Friday March 12, 2004 Reverend Ray Wiggins was honored by having the opportunity to serve as "Pastor of the Day" for the Georgia House of Representatives.
Reverend Wiggins attended Scarrett College in Nashville Tennessee where he earned a "BA" and "MA" in Ministry. After receiving his "MA" in ministry he worked at the world headquarters of Unity in Lee Summit, Missouri. Unity Institute is the publisher of the "Daily Word" a devotional book which is used by more than a million people as a daily devotional.
After Reverend Wiggins eight years of service at the world headquarters of Unity, he accepted the position of Senior Pastor at Unity South Atlanta Church located in Clayton County. Reverend Wiggins has served as senior pastor at Unity South Atlanta Church for seven years where Representative Fludd is a member.
Reverend Wiggins delivered a message on violence in our community and throughout the world today. "Violence can only be routed out of the world by first being routed out of our individual minds" said Reverend Wiggins.
"I am honored to bring Reverend Wiggins to speak before the House," said Rep. Fludd. "He is a tireless servant for God and we are blessed to have heard him speak."
Rep. Fludd serves on the Administrative Services, Banks & Banking, Education, and Natural Resources & Environment Committees.
