Atlanta State Representative Tom Graves, R-Ranger, announced the approval of funding for road construction and repair projects within the City of Fairmount, City of Calhoun, and Gordon County.

The area will receive a total of $295,486.62 via "LARP" for construction and repairs to county and city roads. The roads that are to receive assistance are as follows. The City of FairmountSaddle Club Rd. The City of Calhoun- Old Dalton Rd., Stewart Dr., River View Dr. Gordon County- Mount Olive Church Rd., Artesian Well Rd., Boone Ford Rd., Carter Mountain Rd., Lance Rd., Pinhook Rd., Walraven Rd. The grant is set to go out in April.

"This money will go toward some of the many needed road projects in Gordon County" said Representative Graves. Gordon County has experienced growth over the recent years that will continue to challenge the roadways. The grant received for this year will greatly help to keep roads in good condition for our growing county.

The last assistance the area received for roads was for less than $10,000.00.
