NOEL TO SERVE AS HONORARY CHAIR DURING ATLANTA MUSIC FESTIVAL

Atlanta State Representative John Noel, D-Atlanta, will be the Honorary Chairperson of the 2003 Great Atlanta Music Festival which is scheduled for Friday July 25th thru Sunday July 27th at Woodruff Park in Downtown Atlanta. Rep. Noel was asked to be Honorary Chair by national Black Arts Festival promoter Tom Davis.

In accepting the honor Rep. Noel said, "The Great Atlanta Music Festival is a cultural boost to Atlanta and Georgia. I am honored to have been asked to participate. Music is a great healer and I encourage all to attend this wonderful event."

The downtown music festival is a part of the national Black Arts Festival that is currently going on and pays tribute to some of Georgia's music legends including Otis Redding, Ray Charles, James Brown and Little Richard. Scheduled to perform are the: The Willie Hill Revue, The Atlanta Sound Bank, Voices of Harmony, Tays Reed Country Show and Harvey Scales, along with many others.
