BLACK NAMED TO OVERVIEW PANEL

Atlanta - State Representative Ellis Black, D-Valdosta, has been named to the Joint Agricultural Exposition Authority Overview Committee.

Black was named to the post by House Speaker Terry Coleman, D-Eastman.

The ten-member panel is empowered to review and evaluate the operations of the Georgia National Fairground and Agricenter.

"Rural Georgia has benefitted tremendously because of the Agricenter and Fairgrounds," said Black. "It is important we keep these wonderful facilities in the best possible condition because we want them to be enjoyed by future generations."

The Georgia Agricultural Exposition was developed to promote agriculture in the state and serve as an educational facility.

Black is Vice-Chairman of the Retirement Committee and serves on the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs and Appropriations committees.
