JAMES NAMED TO OVERVIEW PANEL
Atlanta - State Representative Lynmore James, D-Montezuma, has been named to the Joint Agricultural Exposition Authority Overview Committee.
James was named to the post by House Speaker Terry Coleman, D-Eastman.
The ten-member panel is empowered to review and evaluate the operations of the Georgia National Fairground and Agricenter.
"Citizens across Georgia have benefitted tremendously because of the Agricenter and Fairgrounds," said James. "It is important we keep these wonderful facilities in the best possible condition because we want them to be enjoyed by future generations."
The Georgia Agricultural Exposition was developed to promote agriculture in the state and serve as an educational facility.
James is Vice-Chairman of the Agriculture and Consumer Affairs Committee and serves on the and Appropriations, Banks and Banking and Special Rules committees.
