Thomas Holding District 33 "Lobby Day" at State Capitol Public Encouraged to Attend
Atlanta- State Representative Alisha Thomas, D-Austell, will be holding "District 33 Lobby Day" at the State Capitol on April 15th. Events will begin at 8:30 am on the South Wing of the State Capitol and will continue at the Capitol Education Center, which is across the street.
The day will include a workshop on lobbying legislators and the legislative process, an open forum and an appreciation luncheon. Governor Sonny Perdue and Lt. Governor Mark Taylor will be giving greetings.
"The purpose is to engage constituents in the political process and help them learn how their voices can be heard," said Thomas. "There are already some 75 high school students and several senior citizens planning to attend. I encourage all of those interested to participate."
