GREENE ATTENDS SPECIAL PREVIEW
While tartan clad pipers played, State Rep. Gerald Greene, D- Cuthbert, joined members of parliament, Belfasts' mayor, and other dignitaries to salute the upcoming opening in Georgia of a stage extravaganza celebrating 500 years of Scots-Irish history.
The performance will debut at Georgia's Gwinnett Center Arena this spring.
According to promoters, "The joyous new stage show is a musical, a dance show, a concert, a spectacular event celebrating the history of the Scots-Irish over 500 years."
Choirs, bands, pipes, drums, traditional instruments, full orchestra, actors, singers and a large cast of dancers will perform the epic story on stage.
"On Eagle's Wings", by John Anderson, links the richly textured history of the ScotsIrish to the roots of many cultural tradition here in America.
Hosting the event was Lord Laird of Artigarvan, a member of the House of Lords in London.
