POWELL ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP 39 Military Scholarships To Be Awarded
State Rep. Alan Powell, D-Hartwell, has announced the availability of 39 full-militaryscholarships to North Georgia College and State University.
The college is located in North Georgia's Dahlonega.
Applicants, who must be nominated by their state legislator, are required to have at least a 1010 SAT, a 3.0 GPA, and be in excellent physical condition.
The college is offering the scholarships to help fill the ranks of lieutenants and captains in the Georgia Army National Guard.
The full scholarships covers tuition, books, fees, room, board, and uniforms.
Recipients will also be provided a substantial monthly paycheck for serving as a member of the guard while a full time student at North Georgia College and State University.
