Jamieson Helps Secure Grant for At-Risk Children
Atlanta - Representative Jeanette Jamieson, (D-Toccoa), announces a grant has been awarded in the amount of $46,625.00 for at-risk children in the Franklin County Diversion Program. The grant was awarded by the Children and Youth Coordinating Council under the Prevention/Early Intervention grant program.
"The money will go to help young people who need our special attention," said Rep. Jamieson. "We must do all we can to ensure children have prosperous futures and become contributing members of society."
"I'd like to thank the Franklin Board of Commissioners and everyone else involved in securing this much needed funding. Commitments at the local level to young people are very important," said Rep. Jamieson.
As well as chairing the House Education Committee, Rep. Jamieson serves on the Appropriations committee and the Ways & Means committee.
