Hudson Doing Well
Bouncing Back from Procedure
September 20, 2002
Atlanta State Representative Newt Hudson, D-Rochelle, is recovering at his home from bypass surgery. He had a minor heart attack on Sunday September 8th and doctors at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta performed bypass surgery on Thursday, September 12th.
According to medical reports, there was one blocked artery and no damage to the heart muscle.
"I opted for bypass surgery instead of medication at the recommenda said Rep. Hudson. "He said this way it would never become an issue in the future."
"There is a two week recovery time and after I get the Ok I will be up an running and look forward to meeting with folks in the upcoming days," said Rep. Hudson.
