consecutive months of growth.
Over the year, employment in Georgia is up 224,800, or 5.2 percent. Professional and business services (+60,900 jobs), leisure and hospitality (+47,000 jobs), trade, transportation, and utilities (+44,700 jobs), and education and health services (+30,200 jobs) have added the most jobs from June 2020 to June 2021.
Georgia's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) declined to 4.0 percent in June from 4.1 percent in May 2021. Over the year, the unemployment rate is down from 8.4 percent in June 2020.
