and health services sector has added 2,500 jobs over the

month, with health care and social assistance gaining an

additional 2,000 jobs in November. This sector has now

expanded in two consecutive months.
Government shed 500 jobs in November following a decrease of 1,100 in October, continuing a four-month long contraction which began in August. State government

decline of government jobs by 100 at the local level and

Over the year, employment in Georgia is up 192,700, or 4.4 percent. Professional and business services (+58,200 jobs), trade, transportation and utilities (+33,400 jobs), leisure and hospitality (+33,000 jobs), education and health services (+24,400 jobs) and manufacturing (+15,500 jobs) added the most jobs from November 2020 to November 2021.

Georgia's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) continued to decline over the month reaching 2.8 percent in November from 3.1 percent in October 2021. Unemployment in Georgia continues to decline into record-breaking lows. Over the year, the unemployment rate is down from 5.6 percent in November 2020.
