Over the year employment in Georgia has increased by 84 600 or 1.9 percent. Education and Health Services ( 18 000 jobs) Professional and Business Services ( 17 600 jobs) Leisure and Hospitality ( 17 400 jobs) and Construction ( 11 200 jobs) have added the most jobs over the year.
Georgia s unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) held steady in August 2019 unchanged from 3.6 percent in July. Over the year the unemployment rate is down from 3.8 percent in August 2018.
