Over the year, Georgia has added 83,200 jobs to its economy. Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+21,100 jobs); Construction (+18,300 jobs); Education and Health Services (+14,300 jobs); and Leisure and Hospitality (+11,700 jobs) gained the most jobs over the year.
Georgia's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) declined to 3.9 percent in July 2018 from the revised rate of 4.1 percent in June. Over the year, the unemployment rate is down from 4.6 percent in July 2017.
