Over the year, Georgia has added 87,800 jobs to its economy. Professional and Business Services (+24,900 jobs); Education and Health Services (+15,300 jobs); Leisure and Hospitality (+14,500 jobs); and Trade, Transportation, and Utilities (+11,700 jobs) gained the most jobs over the year.
Georgia's unemployment rate (seasonally adjusted) decreased in October 2017, from the revised rate of 4.4 percent in September to 4.3 percent in October. Over the year, the unemployment rate is down from 5.4 percent in October 2016.
