Beef processing and packing company National Beef Packing Company LLC has announced plans to expand its operations in Moultrie, creating approximately 200 jobs and investing roughly $9 million into the expansion. The Colquitt County facility houses consumer-ready beef, pork and ground beef processing operations that service customers throughout the Southeastern region of the United States. With this new expansion, National Beef will raise the number of its employees to more than 420. National Beef is headquartered in Kansas City and operates five other facilities across the nation.
Sage Software Inc, a business management software for small- to medium-sized businesses based in the United Kingdom, has said it will establish its North American headquarters and an innovation hub in Atlanta. This will result in the creation of around 400 jobs over the next few years. Sage is establishing a new Customer Business Center in Midtown Atlanta, which will open this fall. The goal of the new office is to enhance collaboration and foster innovation and primary support for the company's newest product, Sage Life, produced in partnership with Salesforce. This new Midtown location will join the company's existing operations in Lawrenceville. Between the two facilities, Sage will have approximately 1,000 employees in the Atlanta metro area. Sage is the world's thirdlargest supplier of enterprise resource planning software and the largest supplier to small businesses, with millions of customers worldwide.

CSM's facility will consolidate several regional functions into one central location. More than 800 people will be employed at the Sandy Springs facility. These will be new and relocating employees. The move should be complete by the middle of 2016. The facility will also include a Customer Experience Center where CSM will showcase its culinary expertise and many of its products. CSM is one of the largest players in the baking industry with revenues of about $3 billion. The company provides specialized ingredients including dry mixes, fillings, icings, glazes, mlange, toppings, batter, frozen dough and more. It also provides finished products including cakes, donuts, muffins, brownies, cookies and specialty bread.
A new distribution center in the south Bibb County area for a package delivery company has been announced, however, officials have not revealed which company will be building the center. The company currently being referred to as Project Ryan is expected to create 200 jobs. The company has applied to build a nearly 250,000-square-foot distribution center on a 33-acre parcel that includes 405 parking spaces in the I-75 Business Park off Hartley Bridge Road in Macon.
Note: Information in New Developments are from a variety of public sources and by no means are a comprehensive listing of new and expanding business in Georgia
