Georgia Department of Labor schedules job fair in Gwinnett
ATLANTA State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Gwinnett Career Center and Goodwill of North Georgia will co-sponsor a job fair for employers and job seekers in the area.
The event will be held Thursday, July 10, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Goodwill Center, located at 1502 Pleasant Hill Rd. in Duluth.
Commissioner Thurmond said, "The Duluth job fair is designed to bring employers and organizations in the Gwinnett County area together with job seekers who are looking for employment or career guidance. Job seekers will receive cutting edge information on job search, career planning, and other valuable services to help them reach their full workplace potential."
The event will feature about 30 employers who will be hiring to fill current job openings. In addition, other employers will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers, while other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings.
Among the employers expected to participate in the event include: ADT Protech, Arby's, Career Training Concepts, Clark-Allen Substitute Services, Davis Company, Georgia National Guard, Global Employment Solution, Gwinnett County Police Department, Home Depot, Ikon Office Solutions, Kroger, LCP Hospitality, Primerica, Quality Care for Children, Randstad, U.S. Army, Volt Services Group, and Wika Instrument Corporation.
