Georgia Department of Labor schedules career fair in Moultrie
ATLANTA State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Moultrie Career Center and Colquitt County Employer Committee, along with Moultrie Technical College, will sponsor a career fair for employers and job seekers in the area.
The career fair will be held Thursday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Conference Center at Moultrie Technical College, located at 800 Veterans Parkway in Moultrie.
Commissioner Thurmond said, "This career fair is designed to bring Moultrie area employers and organizations together with students, veterans, and others who are seeking employment or career guidance. Job seekers will receive cutting edge information on job search, career planning, and other valuable services designed to help reach their full workplace potential."
The event will feature about 50 employers who will be hiring to fill current job openings. In addition, other employers will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers, while other organizations will be providing educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings.
Among the employers expected to participate in the event include: Ameris Bank, Carrie Viohl Photography, City of Moultrie government, Cives Steel, Colquitt Regional Medical Center, Experience Works, Green Oaks Center, Harvey's, Heatcraft Refrigeration Products, Heritage Embroidery and Design, Home Depot, Mediacom Communications, National Beef, Quality Employment Service, Riverside Manufacturing Company, South Georgia Banking Company, SunTrust Bank, Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center, Southwest Georgia Community Action Council, Tift Health Care, Tift Regional Medical Center, and Turning Point Hospital.
