GDOL'S Columbus Career Center will assist federal contractor with overseas job opportunities

ATLANTA - The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will host a mass recruitment to help a federal contractor fill jobs that support its Iraq maintenance operations. The recruitment will be Wednesday, Feb. 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the GDOL's Columbus Career Center at 700 Veterans Parkway.

Lear Siegler Services will accept on-line applications and conduct interviews to fill the following positions: communications technician, vehicle HVAC mechanic, construction equipment mechanic, generator mechanic, turret mechanic, track mechanic, wheel vehicle mechanic, power generator repairman, small arms repairman, and SAMS operator.

The potential salary range is $86,000-$106,000 per year with federal tax advantages. Most of the positions require a minimum of three years of experience, a valid drivers license, a willingness to work in Iraq, and applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
