Fayetteville area job fair scheduled
ATLANTA State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said today that the Georgia Department of Labor's Clayton Career Center and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce will co-sponsor a job fair for employers and job seekers in the area.
The job fair will be held Monday, Sept. 11, from 3-7 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Road in Fayetteville. The event, which will feature about 60 employers, will include job search workshops and assistance from certified resume advisors.
Commissioner Thurmond said, "This job fair will bring employers and organizations together with job seekers who are seeking career guidance and possible future employment. Job seekers will receive cutting edge information on job search, career planning, and other valuable services designed to help them reach their full workplace potential."
Representatives from area businesses will be on hand to display their businesses to the public and discuss possible employment opportunities with their companies. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings.
